Mountain Iris Speech Therapy

Mountain Iris Speech Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support early intervention services for infants and toddlers (birth to age three) in Larimer County. This position focuses on helping young children develop speech, language, feeding, and early communication skills while working closely with families in natural environments such as the home or community.

In addition to early intervention services, there may also be opportunities to work with older children who are developing speech and language skills. These sessions may focus on articulation, language development, and social communication. The ideal candidate is family-centered, collaborative, and enthusiastic about helping children build strong communication skills during their most important developmental years, while working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language therapy plans for children ages birth–3 as directed by the supervising SLP through early intervention services.
  • Provide speech and language therapy for older children working on speech sound production, language development, and communication skills.
  • Deliver services in natural environments including homes, daycare settings, community locations, or clinic settings as assigned.
  • Support caregivers by modeling strategies that promote communication during everyday routines.
    Collect data and track progress toward therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and documentation in compliance with early intervention guidelines and supervision requirements.
  • Collaborate with the supervising SLP and other professionals (OT, PT, developmental specialists, and educators).
  • Participate in team meetings and maintain consistent communication with families regarding strategies and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Current Colorado SLPA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience with early intervention or pediatric populations preferred.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans developed by a supervising SLP.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working in home and community settings.
  • Reliable transportation to travel throughout Larimer County.
