Job Description
The Children’s Speech & Reading Center (CSRC) is Northern Colorado’s premier impact organization providing speech-language therapy, reading therapy and early literacy services. We have an immediate opening for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). In this role, you will work with children between the ages of 1 and 18 years old in individual therapy sessions. Instead of a per-client pay structure, CSRC offers stable, consistent compensation.
The SLP in this role will provide in-office speech and language screenings, determine whether therapy is warranted, and identify, assess, and diagnose a range of communication disorders including articulation, language, voice, and fluency. Responsibilities include administering assessments, planning appropriate treatment, and writing evaluations, care plans, and session notes within an electronic health record system. The position involves delivering high-quality therapy to children with diverse needs both in person and virtually, conducting preschool screenings at off-site locations when needed, counseling parents on communication disorders and home carryover strategies, and collaborating with community professionals to coordinate services. The SLP is expected to work as a supportive team member and adhere to all CSRC policies.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, maintain ASHA certification, and possess a current SLP license through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. We are looking for someone with at least two years of professional experience working with children and families, a clear understanding of CSRC’s mission and goals, and the ability to work up to 20 hours per week in Fort Collins.
Compensation
Compensation for this position ranges from $31 to $41 per hour, depending on experience. Employees earn paid sick leave and are eligible for up to a 3% employer match in CSRC’s retirement plan. Additional benefits include bonus opportunities and a monthly stipend toward a health insurance plan for those enrolled through CSRC.
