Title - Empowering Educators to Create Language-Rich Interactions

Abstract: An evidence-based professional development program, Learning Language and Loving It™ – The Hanen Program® for Early Childhood Educators was introduced. This program reflects Tier 1 of the Response to Intervention framework and provides training in supporting children’s social, language and literacy skills. Video examples demonstrated the strategies and their impact on teacher-child interactions.

Helen Livshits, MHSc, Reg. CASLPO, is a speech-language pathologist and Program Lead of Early Childhood Education Services at The Hanen Centre.
