Continuing Professional Competency Requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists
In order to practice speech-language pathology in Colorado, state law requires you to maintain and demonstrate continuing professional competency requirements (CC requirements) for your speech-language pathology certification. CC requirements must be completed each renewal period before renewing a certificate. The next expiration date is November 30, 2016.
When renewing your certificate, you must attest to how you complied with CC requirements for the renewal period (December 1, 2015 through November 30, 2016). CC requirements can be met by:
Brief Overview of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program
Before renewing your certificate, finalize your Learning Plan and document the completion of PDA. Retain your documentation as described; audits of compliance will be conducted after the renewal.
