Job Description
Mountain Iris Speech Therapy is looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team serving families in Larimer County. This is a wonderful opportunity for an SLPA who loves working with children, connecting with families, and making therapy meaningful in everyday environments.
Our primary focus is early intervention (birth–3), supporting children and families as they build foundational communication skills through play, routines, and daily interactions. There may also be opportunities to work with older children on articulation, language development, and communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- Provide speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Work primarily with infants, toddlers, and young children in early intervention.
- Provide services in natural environments such as homes, daycares, and community settings.
- Support older children with speech sound development, language, and communication skills when appropriate.
- Use play-based and family-centered strategies to make therapy engaging and functional.
- Coach caregivers on simple strategies they can use during everyday routines.
- Collect data and communicate progress with the supervising SLP.
- Complete session documentation in accordance with practice and early intervention guidelines.
- Collaborate with families, SLPs, and other professionals such as OT, PT, developmental specialists, and educators.
- Celebrate each child’s progress and help families feel confident supporting communication at home.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies or related field
- Current Colorado SLPA requirements for ASHA
- Experience with pediatric or early intervention populations preferred.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting families.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Reliable transportation for travel throughout Larimer County.
